Here's the latest news...

Fall Ministries at Zion are gearing up now and it's not too late to join in. Here's a brief overview of where you might want to plug in:

Catechism is an engaging three-year program for 6-8 grade students. Built around three pillars of the Christian Life (Learning, Serving, and Fellowship), the program has both large group learning events and small group discussions and activities. Adult and Junior "Guides" serve as mentors in the program coordinated by Colleen Wilson and shepherded by Pastor Kent. Most Learning, Serving, and Fellowship events are on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30. An Orientation for parents and youth is scheduled for Sunday, September 12 at 6:00 pm in the gym.

Sunday School for all ages kicks off with Rally Day on September 12 at 9:35 am. Children will meet in the Gym, jr. high students will meet in the Chapel, high school youth will meet in the Youth Room downstairs and adults will meet in the Lounge. Join in!

Bell Choir practice is on Thursday evenings from 6:15-7:15 in the Sanctuary. If you have a reasonable ability to read music and keep time, this might be just the place for you! Jonathon Lischak is the director.

Adult Vocal Choir practice is also on Thursday evenings but from 7:30-8:30 in the Balcony. Again, if you have a reasonable ability to read music, this is a great group to join. Marilyn Basinger is the director.

Upcoming Events later this fall include: First Bible Classes for 3rd graders and their parents, First Communion Classes for 1st graders and their parents, a New Members' Class, and Zions first offering of Financial Peace University. Be watching for details of these and other offerings in upcoming weeks! We're looking forward to a great year of ministry at Zion and pray that you'll be a part of it!
